Have you tried to validate at W3C only to find out that you had several errors but W3C did not tell you how to correct them?

This validator gives you the fix.

http://www.totalvalidator.com/index.html

It also shows spelling erros and will give you a screenshot of your main page and how it displays in most browsers.

The online version only allows 15 checks per day so repairs in groups and then validate. It also can be downloaded to your deasktop as a standalone or FF addon.

This is a great tool! Wish I would have had it when I was trying to figure out my errors. Of course I'll never understand why the different verifying tools out there give you different results? My xhtml pages validate with the standard W3 validate tool. Looks like I have some minor clean up with this one.

I recommend this for anyone in need of resolving verification errors.  Smilie

Sometimes it will not check certain links, so after you have fixed all that you can and you know that the links are good, turn off the links checker part and try again.

Try the validation box at the bottom of Stewarts:

Nice! Stewart's validates!

That tool did point something useful out. For some reason (??) I had my site description in the "Alt" tag for my Link Referral button? I have no idea how / why I did that, but it's fixed now. This new validation tool pointed it out.  Thats nuts

It showed me 4 spelling errors that Travis had made in his opening statement and also how to repair the Zen cart links. Zen cart url's will throw errors all over the place. This is a link straight to the validator, it's actually better than the top link that I placed but it's also on the first page in the tabs:

http://www.totalvalidator.com/validator/ValidatorForm

I wonder if the desktop version is any good. I hate to put things on my computer that I know little about the developement of.

The only thing that throws up errors in my zen cart are when I use & in the titles or descriptions. But if you go back and check again, it validates. I also know how to fix it if I need to. I have one thing to look into for both html and zen cart pages. This:

The default style sheet language must be specified when style attributes are used:

Easy enough to fix, if I need to? I'll stay away from the desktop version for now. I'll use your link.  Wink

Off to breakfast.  Peace out

Any place that you have the & sign, just add amp; after the & sign and it should get rid of the warning and the link will still work.

That's the fix. I may do it when I have time. I do have one end tag missing that I need to fix in zen cart. Other than that, I'm pretty clean.

That is strange how Charla posts and then disappears instantly? Guess she doesn't want people to know she's here?

March, 06, 2010, 12:42:25 PM
If it has a tred indicator, it has been disabled.
March, 06, 2010, 11:27:07 AM
Jo, when you remove it, it is disabled.  It won't remove it from the list.  You can add it again at anytime.  It would be better if they used the word "disable" in there but instead they use the word remove.
March, 06, 2010, 10:47:28 AM
Ron, Kevin. If I disable/remove paypal from the cart, can it be enabled again if I need to? I hate to remove it but I think that may be the only way to disable it.
